We had 10 golfers tee it up on Sunday under ideal conditions. Rick Kirkbride and Tony King shared medalist honors with a score of 81 but Rick took all the money with his sharpshooting iron play on 7 and 17 for closest to the pin honors and kick in birdies. He easily won 1st place in the Stableford over Fred Girardini who started his round with a birdie on 1. EZ Bill took 3rd place posting a 90. Bill Haas snaked a long birdie putt in on 16 and Tim McClintick birdied #7. Drew joined the group and we hope to see him often in the future. 20 golfers traveled to Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena Illinois for our annual golf outing. The weather cooperated with us and kept us dry but the winds tried to blow us off the hills of Galena. It didn't keep us from having a good time. There were several highlights and some very good golf. The shot of the trip was JD Dunehew's eagle 2 on the tough number 17 at the General from 120 yards. Special thanks to Barry and Benny for all of the Pepperidge Farm treats and as always the Master of Coin. We will return to Kellogg GC on Sunday at 8:20 am and we have 3 openings
