July 3rd Golfnut News

Fred Girardini was white hot on the back shooting a 38 with 2 birdies

14 golfers teed it up Sunday. The scores were higher than the temperature with 3 golfers shooting 83 for a share of the medalist honors. Jerry Schraeder birdied 3 & 9, Fred Girardini had birdies on 15 & 16 and Tony King all shot 83. Dusty Masching recovered from a bad tee shot on 17 by chipping in for birdie and Benny Hayes (10) and Rick Kirkbride (16) also posted birdies. We have 4 tee times next Sunday at Kellogg starting at 8:20 and we have 3 openings. There will be a board meeting following golf on July 10th at Hooters.
The Hooters World Championship is August 14th at Donovan.

June 26th Golfnut News

EZ Bill enjoyed a round of golf with his sons.




It was a memorable Father's Day as Tony King shot 74 with 3 birdies.


11 golfers teed it up on Father's Day Sunday. The overcast skies frightened a few fair weather golfers away but the day turned out perfect for some great scores. Tony King shot 74 with a 34 on the back nine that included birdies on 11,12 & 14 for medalist honors. He nearly aced the 200 yard par 3 number 12 with his tee shot rolling a foot past the hole. Tim McClintick and Dan Kirwan both shot 77. Tim birdied # 6 and Dan had birdies on 12 & 13. Mickey Winkler posted a 4 on # 2 for the only other birdie of the day. We have 4 tee times starting at 8:20 and we have 1 opening.

June 19th Golfnut News

Gary Toubeau's 2nd shot from the #12 tee box through the trees and off the cart path onto the #13 green was shot of the day


Fred Girardini was sensational on the back nine



Happy Father's Day to all the dads. 10 golfers teed up on a perfect Sunday golf day. We had 2 no shows. Mickey Winkler returned to action with a 79 and took medalist honors. Multiple birdie shooters was the story of the day with Steve McDowell (7,16), Bob Kooy nearly eagled 13 (4,13) and Tim McClintick (10,16) posting two each. Tony King stuck one close on #7 for the only other birdie. We have 3 tee times next Sunday starting at 8:30 am and we have 1 opening.

Frank makes a rare Golfnut appearance playing with Benny and Dan

May 22nd Golfnut News

Bill Leroy and Tim McClintick both eagled # 14 at the General







A great time was had by all at the General at Eagle Ridge





16 golfers traveled to Galena for another great golf outing at Eagle Ridge Resort . Tim McClintick and Bill Leroy both eagled number 14 at the General. Tim drove the green and sank the putt for his eagle. Bill found the tight fairway and hit his second shot into the hole from about 150 yards. The group traveled to Diamond Joes in Iowa where Frank Bradley heated up the dice table. Ryan Samp posted 3 birdies at the North course on Sunday and Tony King had a hat trick of birdies at the General on Monday. George Lange traveled from Las Vegas for the annual trip. We have 3 tee times starting at 8:20 am and we are full.

10 golfers teed up on a beautiful Mother's day Sunday at Kellogg. Tim McClintick was white hot shooting a 77 with birdies on 7,15 & 16 for medalist honors. Tony King birdied # 6 and Gary Toubeau birdied # 11 for the only other birdies on the day. The Golfnuts head to Galena Eagle Ridge this Sunday for a noon tee time. We will return to action at Kellogg on May 22nd.
