August 2nd Golfnut News

Kevin, Steve and Tim played great this Sunday

14 golfers teed it up on a beautiful July morning. We had 2 no shows. Tim McClintick was the medalist with a 77 that included birdies on 2 and 9. Jerry Schraeder returned to normal and shot an impressive 78 with birdies on 3,10,11 & 12. Joe Wenzel has found his game with a sizzling 38 on the front 9 posting birds on 1 & 7 nearly acing number 7. Steve McDowell was laser sharp on 3 and 12 to capture easy greenies. Other birdies were posted by Gary Toubeau (17), Tony King (1), Dan Kirwan (2 & 8), Rick Farnan flirted with Club 70 again but bogeyed 17 and posted an 80 with a birdie on 13. Shots of the day are shared by Joe, Jerry and Steve for their near aces on the par threes. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 8:30 am and we have 3 openings.

July 26th Golfnut News

September 20th only 58 days, who will be the 2009 World Champions ?
Jeff preps for the Men's City Tournament with a sizzling 72

Eleven golfers teed it up on a beautiful July morning. Jeff Pohl returned to the Kellogg Golfnuts and posted an impressive 72 with birdies on 8,12 & 14. He looks ready to qualify for the Peoria Men's City. Other birdies were posted by Gary Toubeau (15), Joe Wenzel (8), Dan Sordelet (11), and Dee Benway shot 79 with a birdie on 10. On #8 Rick Farnan struggled off the tee and hit his 4th shot into the bunker only to hole the shot from the bunker for par. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 8:30 am and we have no openings.

Golf new update for July 19th

Welcome Chanel to the Kellogg Golfnuts
Chanel led the Golfnuts in prayer for great weather for the Hooters World Championship on September 20th and for the rest of the year.

14 golfers teed it up on July 12th. Medalist honors went to Tim McClintick with an 80 and birdies on #4 and 14. Dan Kirwan stuck one close on the par 3 number 3 for a birdie and Dave Tealbey made a lengthy putt deflected by a pebble for a birdie on number 12. Dave's putt on 12 for bird is the shot of the day. We have 4 tee times next Sunday with 3 openings. First tee time is 8:20 am.

July 12th Golfnut News

15 golfers teed it up on July 5th. Medalist honors went to Tony King with 79 and a birdie on #16. Tim McClintick had two birdies on 14 and 18. Newest member Jeff Pulfer shot a 102 but posted the only other birdie on #6. Joe Hancock joined the group and shot 83. Tony snaked a downhill 45 foot birdie putt on 16 for the shot of the day. Mickey Winkler finally cooled off shooting an 84 with no birdies. We have 4 tee times next Sunday with 1 opening. First tee time is 8:20 am.
