June 6th Golfnut update

Prayer meeting is needed to stop the rain
No Carts - No golfers

Only 5 golfnuts teed up this soggy Sunday morning. No carts was the story of the day which led to a dismal turnout. The course was extremely soggy and wet. Tony King shot an 81 for medalist honors with a birdie on 6. His approach shot stopped inches from the hole for a gimmie birdie. Dan Sordelet birdied # 8 & 12 chipping in on the par 3. Bob Kooy played the par threes on the back nine very tough knocking one close on the difficult #12 but missed the birdie putt. He redeemed himself on #17 by hitting his tee shot within 4 feet and making the birdie putt for shot of the day. There will be a "stop the rain" prayer meeting at Hooters following golf next Sunday. We have 3 tee times Sunday at Kellogg starting at 8:20 am. We have 3 openings. Please let me know if you plan to walk.
