Lela was our gracious host and led the Kellogg golfnuts in prayer at Hooters for great weather the remainder of the season.
We finally started playing golf. Great weather and very soggy course were the conditions for the 2009 opening day. Newcomer Dee Benway took medalist honors with a 74. He birdied 12 & 13 with the shot of the day coming on 13 by Dee with an outstanding chip in. Benny Hayes was dazzling with 2 birdies on 6 & 15. Tony King birdied 8 & 13 and Reno posted a 3 on 13 as well. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 8:28 am. We are full.
