July 5th Golfnut Update

Gary Toubeau was sensational today

14 golfers teed it up on June 28th. Medalist honors were shared by Tony King and Mickey Winkler with 79. Mickey had 4 birdies on 1,2,14 and 18. Other birdie shooters were Dan Sordelet on 18 and Kevin Andrews on # 6. Mickey stuck his approach shot on #1 within inches of the hole for the shot of the day. We have 4 tee times next Sunday with 2 openings. First tee time is 8:30 am. Let me know if you want to play.

June 28th golfnut update

Benny enjoyed the Las Vegas sunshine
George, Tim and Tony played a round of golf at Angel Park Mountain Course
The rain washed out another Sunday. Tony, Tim, Benny and George played two rounds in Las Vegas at the Legacy and Angel Park. Tim posted a 79 with 3 birdies at Angel Park. We will try again this Sunday. We have 4 tee times starting at 8:20 am and there are no openings. Let me know if you plan to play.

Golfnut Update June 21st Happy Fathers Day

16 golfers teed it up on Sunday. We welcome two new members, Kevin Andrews (93)and Dan Sordelet (85). Mickey Winkler was white hot shooting a 72 with 3 birdies on 7,10 and 17. Mickey was within 5 feet on 17 for the shot of the day. Billy King sank and 90 foot putt on 12 for a birdie. Bill Leroy started his round with a bird on # 1 and Dee Benway sank a long putt on 17 for birdie. Tim McClintick joined Club 70 with a 79. Benny, Tim and Tony head to Las Vegas to play golf with Golfnut George Lange. We have 4 tee times for Sunday starting at 8:45 am and there are 3 openings.

Golfnuts June 14th

The golfnuts were rained out last week but we will try again this Sunday. I had a great visit with my son and fellow Hooters World Champion Brett King in California where we tackled the awesome South course at Torrey Pines, We have 4 tee times for this Sunday starting at 8:30 am and we have no openings.

Golfnut update May 31st

13 golfers teed it up on Sunday under ideal weather conditions. The course played tough and scores were reflected by the tough set up. No one broke 80 this week and there were only 3 birdies. Tim McClintick was medalist with an 80. Joe Wenzel chipped one in on # 7 for a birdie, Steve McDowell birdied # 5 and the shot of the day goes to Gary Toubeau for his approach shot on number 14 for a kick in birdie. Mickey Winkler returned to action but Fred Girardini remains on the DL list.
Steve McDowell will be fishing next weekend, Reno heads to Colorado with his family and I will be visiting Brett in California and playing Torrey Pines.
EZ Bill will be 80 years young on June 2nd and will be playing with some new clubs next Sunday so bring lots of quarters. We have 4 tee times with the first tee time at 8 am. We have 6 openings.
