Labor Day Weekend News

Will defending champ Bill Haas be able to find a parking spot at Hooters this year?

15 golfers teed it up on a cool Sunday morning. We put August behind us and on to September. Dan Kirwan shot 78 for medalist honors. Tim McClintick birdied number 14 and Dan Sordelet birdied number 18 for the lone birdies of the day. Fred Girardini returned to action but only managed to play 7 holes before his pain returned. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 9 am and we have 3 openings.

August 30th Golf News

Benny, Dan and Steve enjoyed a gorgeous day at Kellogg

14 golfers teed it up on a beautiful August morning. Tony King shot 76 with birdies on 7,14 & 17 for medalist honors. Dee Benway also posted 3 birdies on 7,13 & 15 and shot 77. Other birdies were posted by Joe Wenzel(1 & 17), Benny Hayes(16), and Dan Kirwan(10). Tony nearly eagled with a 7 iron from the fairway on # 14 with his approach shot that stopped a foot past the hole for a kick in birdie. Happy Birthday to Jeff Pohl who will be contending in the Hooters in September. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 9 am and we have 1 opening.

August 23rd Golfnut News

14 golfers teed it up on a warm and windy August morning. We dodged the storm by a few minutes. Tony King brought his thunder and lightening and shot 77 with birdies on 2 & 10 for medalist honors. Other birdies were posted by Gary Toubeau (9), Tim McClintick (5), Jerry Schraeder (13), Bob Kooy (11) and Jeff Pulfer (9 & 18). Shot of the day goes to Bob for his 45 foot birdie putt on 11. Happy Birthday to Reno who returns to action after 4 weeks on the DL. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 8:30 am and we are full.

Golfnut News August 16th

15 golfers teed it up on a warm and windy August morning. Kellogg played long and tough following the day after the Men's city tournament. Back tees, wind and impossible pin placements created inflated scores. Dee Benway and Jerry Schraeder shot 82 for medalist honors. Dee birdied 18 and Jerry birdied 5 & 9. Other birdies were posted by Gary Toubeau (8), Mickey Winkler (1), Benny Hayes (3) and Kevin Andrews (6). Shot of the day goes to Benny for his tee shot on number 3 to within 2 feet. We are accepting entries for the 8th annual Hooters Classic. Entry is $30. We have 4 tee times next Sunday starting at 8:30 am and we have 2 openings.

August 9th Golfnut News

13 golfers teed it up on a beautiful August morning. 78 was the magic number this Sunday as four players shot 78 to share medalist honors. Tim McClintick (78) with birds on 13,15,17, Mickey Winkler (78) with birdies on 5,11,15, Rick Kirkbride (78) with birdie on 14 and Steve McDowell (78) without a birdie. Other birdies were posted by Tony King (15,17), Jerry Schraeder (6,7), Rick Farnan(9) and Kevin Andrews (7). Shot of the day goes to Tony for a birdie chip in to an impossible pin position on 15.
