May 4th Golfnut News

Eight golfers braved the brutal winds and cool temperatures at tee off time. The winds dissipated and the morning warmed up on the back nine for an enjoyable finish just before the rain came down.
Steve McDowell was medalist with an 83 posting a birdie on #7. Tim McClintick stuck one very close on #7 for the shot of the day and a tap in birdie, he also birdied # 9 with a chip in. Benny Hayes birdied number 18 and Rick Farnan posted a 3 on # 16. We played closest to the pin which was won by Dave Tealbey 3, Doyle Collins 12, Tim McClintick 7 & 17. Doyle travels to Torrey Pines next weekend for some championship golf. We traveled to Hooters for a bored meeting following golf.
We have 3 tee times starting at 8:20 am and there are 2 openings.

Tee times this week are: Rick Kirkbride, Bob Kooy and Dan Sordelet
